Before we start

Pre-course assignment

Read the course guide.

Note: If you have little or no programming experience, then please attempt all of the material below before the start of the course.

Please go to Codecademy and make a start on:

• Web Fundamentals
• Python

And then, if you have time, work through:

• jQuery
• Javascript
• Projects

The more of this material you can get through before the course starts, the less you will need to do once we get going. None of this material is essential to know beforehand, but if you are familiar with it, you will find it easier to keep up once we start.

If you find yourself having difficulty with any of the exercises or want to discuss any aspect of your preparation, please get in touch.

If you do not already have them, Please set up accounts with the following services:

Equipment

If you have your own laptop computer (Mac, PC, Linux or Chromebook), please bring it. Otherwise, please let us know in advance, and we may be able to provide you with a computer for the duration of the course. You will also need a pair of earphones.
